Description
Karbala or Karbala Mu’alla is a Shiite pilgrimage city in Iraq. The martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions in the Karbala incident in 61 AH and the location of the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) and the shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) have given this city great importance among Shiites.
