Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur Al-Busaid
(born November 18, 1940 – died January 10, 2020)
He was the Sultan of Oman. Born in Salalah, he is the fourteenth in the direct line of the Sultans of the Al Busaid family, which descends from the Banu Lam dynasty and their lineage. His official title in Arabic is His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said (meaning: His Majesty the Great Sultan Qaboos was the son of a martyr from the Said family. He had the longest reign among other rulers of Arab countries.
